Our organization's definition of positive action is intentionally broad -- we hope to help as many people in as many ways as possible. Any example of positive action that we can conceive, we work to achieve.


When and where are meetings held?

The World Organization for Positive Action meets on the last Saturday of every month. Meetings are typically scheduled at 4:30 pm. The meetings are held at 266 North 7th Street in Prospect Park, New Jersey.


What language are meetings conducted in?

The World Organization for Positive Action is bilingual affiliation. Meetings are now conducted primarily in English however we translate into Spanish to accommodate non-native speakers.

Are there membership dues?

Yes, World Organization for Positive Action members are responsible to pay a $10.00 (USD) monthly to cover the organization's expenses. You can pay your dues online by clicking on the donate button on the donation page. In addition to dues, members who go on relief trips pay their own travel expenses so that all donations go directly to pay for the food, medicine and other supplies used to help the people and communities in need.


Can membership dues be paid in advance?

Yes, dues can be paid as far in advance as requested. Many members choose to pay an entire year at a time.


Who do I pay membership dues to?

Are donations tax deductible?

The World Organization for Positive Action is a 501(c)(3) charity with tax exempt status from the government. Donations are considered tax deductible.


Can the World Organization for Positive Action help me?

WOPA does accept requests for aid however they must be filed in writing. The request form can be found here. Upon submissions will then be reviewed by committee and WOPA will decide on a case-by-case basis whether aid can be supplied.
